Jane Gentleman
Jane leads all client engagements, working directly with founders, leadership teams and boards on advisory, strategic introductions and retained search mandates.
Today, Jane's main focus is defence and national security, where she supports organisations with market intelligence, strategic relationships and access to senior expertise and specialist capability across complex and highly regulated environments.
Jane brings more than 30 years' commercial experience and has built and grown businesses of her own. Her early career included three years working in the House of Lords at the Palace of Westminster, before moving into recruitment and business.
Over the years, she has worked with organisations across FMCG, IT, infrastructure and environmental services, including Carphone Warehouse, Marks & Spencer, Hotel Chocolat, Biffa, Oxford Photovoltaics and Martifer, as well as central and local government. Her experience also extends to working alongside private equity and family office investors including Mid Europa and UCEA.
Across all of her work, Jane brings together commercial judgement, market knowledge and long-standing relationships to help organisations navigate growth and identify opportunities that are not always visible through conventional channels.
Above all, she believes good business is built on trust, integrity and long-term relationships.
Amanda Clarke
Amanda is Research and Operations Director and a Founding Partner of the business.
She works closely with Jane across all mandates, leading research, market mapping and operations.
Amanda and Jane have worked together for over 22 years, building a long-standing, trusted partnership.
Her earlier career included roles in marketing and research at organisations such as Glenmorangie Whisky Company and St Andrew’s Ambulance Association, alongside work with clients across PR, marketing and recruitment.
Amanda studied Biological Sciences at Napier University.
